Even in these sub groups the physiological needs are completely different for each individual event. Since 2002 Horizon has been providing sport specific personal training for all track and field athletes.

    Horizon uses scientifically backed training prescriptions for all of the physical requirements for track and field athletes. We train speed, agility, power and strength to help every athlete excel. While every event is completely different, so is every athlete. Because of this belief, every one of Horizon’s athletes starts with a unique fitness screen that will help diagnose the specific needs of that athlete. Once we find these compensations and specific needs we create individual correctives exercises to help your athlete perform the most efficiently and safest way possible. We use hand pick speed drills to help develop the movement pattern needs for all of the running athletes. We build power into every workout to assist both thrower and runners with explosiveness. And he put a heavy emphasis on core training to make sure every athlete performs at their best. This specific training model is what has led to countless athletes making it to the next level!
