Skill camps do not focus on strength and conditioning which will turn your child into an athlete. Strength and Conditioning focuses on the physical needs of being a volleyball athlete, not just skill. Volleyball camps do a great job of teaching skill to a group of players BUT they cannot focus on your child as an individual. Volleyball Specific Personal Training
We understand the unique needs of volleyball and train the athletes as individuals based on their age, experience, and position. Every athlete starts with a sport specific movement screen so we can understand the needs individual needs for your athlete. This screen will also help identify compensations which are pre-cursors to injuries but also help create efficient athletes. Once we discover these compensations we create corrective exercises that will help the athlete train safer and perform better.
We work on speed and agility drills, specific to volleyball. We use change of direction drills to allow your athlete to switch on a dime to be able to get to the ball. We work on first step quickness to allow your athlete to accelerate quickly to get to a short ball. We also put special emphasis on plyometrics to be able to increase their vertical power to jump higher.
We use scientifically backed resistance training to fulfill the specific needs of volleyball. We hand pick exercises to allow your athlete to increase strength and power while not limiting speed. We also periodize every program so that your athlete will be able to train year round so they can get consistent results without over training. This has been our recipe for success!
